Founding partner, has led a wide range of projects in the fields of corporate and company strategy; structural changes including diversification, acquisitions, and divestments; identification and development of the basic capabilities needed to improve a company’s competitiveness.
Before joining Auric, he worked for 28 years at Grupo Industrial Alfa where he was involved in projects for organic growth, M&A, joint ventures and new businesses. Was part of Alfa’s financial and strategic restructuring team, responsible for the group’s strategic planning efforts and its comptrollership. Managed Alfa’s petrochemical division and served as Hylsamex’s CEO for 8 years, substantially improving the company’s competitiveness and earning significant domestic and international distinctions, like Mexico’s first National Quality Award.
He has served as a board member on several large domestic and global companies and organizations, being vice-president of Canacintra (Mexico’s National Chamber Of Industries) and president of Canacero (Mexico’s Steel Association), Centro de Productividad de Nuevo León (Nuevo Leon’s Productivity Center) and Instituto Latinoamericano del Hierro y del Acero (Latin America’s Steel Organization).
He holds a BS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has continued his professional education through courses at MIT, Columbia University and the University of Chicago.

He began working at Auric in 2008. Since then, he has led projects in corporate strategy, organizational restructuring, method improvements and organic growth for a wide variety of companies.
Prior to joining Auric, he worked for over four years at McKinsey & Company. As an analyst in the firm’s Mexico office, he worked with domestic and international consumer goods and communications corporations in the fields of strategy, sales force efficiency and operations. He was later an Associate Consultant and Project Manager at the firm’s Boston Office, working with IT, financial and consumer goods companies in the areas of technological strategy, operations and transformations.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from ITESM (Monterrey’s Institute of Technology) and an MBA from Harvard University.
He was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León; he has a passion for baseball and citriculture.

Founding partner, has led more than 150 projects in strategy development and execution, commercial strategies, streamlining the value chain, and new ventures in the fields of retail, industrial goods, and services.
Before joining Auric, he served two years as VP of Operations for a plastic-container manufacturer and head of Arthur Andersen’s Supply Chain practice in Monterrey for three years.
Has been certified and has led important supply chain software implementations. He’s actively involved as an advisor in two entrepreneurial organizations, Endeavor and Enlace+E.
Holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering with minor in Industrial Engineering from ITESM (Monterrey’s Institute of Technology) and a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering with major in Logistics from Georgia Tech.
He was born in Reggio Emilia, Italy; his hobbies are cycling, music, reading, and traveling.
